I create these Friday posts exclusively for my paid Substack members, which also includes video tea times, slow letters, seasonal book reviews and nature writing.

In this post, I share my journey as a beginner artist, where I provide details on the art projects I’m currently working on, alongside material’s I’ve used and resources I’ve enjoyed.

Hello my loves,

Summer is usually the time of year where my creativity hits a roadblock, but I’m pleased to report that this doesn’t seem to be the case so far this year!

Now that my Highland home feels so busy, I’ve enjoyed taking some quiet time at home to work on a few mini art projects and even cracked open my watercolours, which have been hidden away for far too long.

I hope these examples will provide some inspiration for your own summer projects…
